I'm going back onto Phase 1 of South Beach. I did great when I was eating no breads or pasta, but when the diet began to allow one serving of carbs per day, I discovered that was my vice. 1 serving turned into 3 turned into 4 and then the vegetables sank into oblivion. I've gained back 4 lbs, and I refuse to yo-yo. So I'm going back to Phase 1, and I don't think I'll ever come completely off it. I learned I can't trust myself with carbs.
Also, across from my work is a 24-hour Fitness. On my next paycheck, I'm signing up for a membership, and I'm going to get up even earlier (bleh) to workout. If anyone has an all-gym membership with them (or uses that gym on Wilshire/Western), I'd love to have a workout partner. I spent $1.5k a few years back on a trainer for 3 months with them, but I never took advantage of the free classes, so I'm going to do that. I think the girls at work are going to join me.
That's my report. It's not really getting any easier to put my weight story out in words, but I promised myself I would be accountable and transparent. So here I am.
